MAKING OF ANA x PABLO
 
Nestled in its Parisian workshop, the Pablo label dresses up urban and romantic women, who enjoy giving a twist to a masculine/feminine wardrobe, in keeping with their daily life. They tame a wide array of styles showcasing a trendy palette of colours. Sometimes bohemian, they enjoy the lightness of pastel overtones, flowers and vaporous lace. Sometimes dynamic, they are partial to the warmth of velvet, the elegance of volumes as well as boyfriend cuts.

Pablo is a brand of know-how at the service of style, a brand whose personality never ceases to seduce the most Parisian muses. Close to young actresses, Pablo likes to entrust its capsule collections to the new French wave. After Clémence Poésy, it’s the turn of actress Ana Girardot to collaborate with the label.

For her capsule, Ana Girardot has imagined the wardrobe of a curious traveller, a city adventurer : a very cocoon’s man coat featuring a prince of Wales weave, a mini-skirt with a bandana print, a sixties cape-dress in velvet wool with gold shoulder buttons, a sailor top with a deep cleavage, a silk shirt with a long lavallière collar, a heavy knit pullover, a one-piece pyjama suit with a tuxedo collar in smooth velvet and a two-tone shoulder strap bag. Navy and red, her favorite colours, are sprinkled here and there with velvet – one of her obsessions.

Ana Girardot and Pablo, here is the encounter of two very compatible universes, a dialogue of references and symbols.


For this occasion, the Pablo house has asked American photographer Dan Martensen to handle its ad campaign because he truly knows how to make women beautiful without any artifice. With his silver print photographs, he captures just the right emotion, very soberly. More than an image, it’s a poem, an ode to modernity but with no stereotypes.

Paris imposed itself as the backdrop for this beautiful collection where elegance rimes with mystery. Paris, the secret city revealed. From the Pont Neuf to place Dauphine, along the Seine, Pablo brings to mind an enchanting Left Bank… Hence, Paris remains timeless, eternally stunning, a city that the lovely Ana Girardot, inspired by her dreams, could take possession of with panache. It’s not a mirage, it’s the most beautiful of all realities.

SPRING-SUMMER COLLECTION 2017 LOOK BOOK
 
Diversity, fantasy, energy: This season, the Pablo collection showcases its freshness through three essential inspirations. Efficient, the Pablo Masculine/Feminine wardrobe is softer and even goes as far as incarnating a new form of romanticism. More fluid and all the more seductive, here the energetic suit is never strict. In silk, in linen, in cool wool or viscose, featuring natural overtones, it is enhanced with lace, ladder open-work, airy friezes, graphic stripes. Beyond its function, this energy-filled ensemble is also a means to escape—ideal for committed women who have not given up on their dreams.

In parallel, the Bohème wardrobe of Pablo pursues its quest for floral impressions, as a mix or in dynamic associations. Crepe, viscose and silk take off as scarf motifs. Plain dresses trimmed with fluid ruffles, petticoats displaying evanescent prints or tunics inspired from far-flung travels: each chosen piece conveys a summer feeling.

These two inseparable elements of the house spirit mix together freely and are featured through other creations known as Casuals. Jeans and Chinos offer a wide array of washed out nuances. Wide trench coats in fluid linen and teddy suede confirm the natural cult. Striped sailor tops and light crochet pieces privilege the comfort of knitwear. Thin woven stripes invite themselves on jeans with 70’s inspiration. A few rock pieces also structure this relaxed style. Mini-skirts and tapered blouses impose a tempo with additional rhythm.

The main Pablo line and its permanently updated trendy offshoots are also enriched by the D-Day capsule collection. Dedicated to ceremonies, this strategic line is a way to tame the overly sedate wedding range option while remaining one’s self on important occasions. Here, the ‘little black dress’ is featured in pretty white or refreshing nude… There is also a line dedicated to guests, during family celebrations and festive summer holiday gatherings.

When the need to appear is no longer in opposition with the need of being—quite simply.

Timeless yet contemporary, the items of this gentle mosaic are all placed under the sign of beautiful vagrancy.

Her collection tells the story of a student of Fine Arts:
"This collection was born from a picture seen long ago, and never found, of a sculpture student in Moscow. Infinite gentleness emanated from her and I wanted to make her an imaginary and timeless wardrobe. Invent a story to fold into her suitcase".

Inspired by the British and the bohemian-chic, this capsule is made up of a romantic wardrobe: a small velvet gown with a Pierrot collar, a smock in washed cotton, corduroy pants in crushed raspberry and all in comfortable materials!

Ambassadress of the W4 association, the first European platform of crowdfunding, dedicated exclusively to the liberation of women and girls worldwide, Clémence Poésy created an exclusive t-shirt "THE MIGHTIES." Funds raised through the sale of these t-shirts will be donated to the W4 projects for the liberation of women & girls in Pakistan.
